Puzzle & Dragons Nintendo Switch Edition Announced; Launching This Week

Publisher GungHo Online has announced that Puzzle & Dragons Nintendo Switch Edition is releasing for the Nintendo Switch on February 19, 2022, for $4.37. This title is part of an expansive puzzle-based RPG series spanning several console generations. Players engage in match-three minigames, with the aim being to match as many as your meager mind can fathom. In addition, various modes are playable, like Quest Mode, where players must progress through dungeons, battling monsters.

PvP mode is also available, where 8 players compete for the highest score across each round. Further, cooperative play extends to other avenues such as global world matches, friendly matches via lobby matches, and computer matches against AI opponents.

Lastly, collaborative event dungeons are continually added for increased replayability, and customizability allows for original dungeon layouts, background music, combined monsters, and more.

The game takes place with new 3D models of the Leader Monsters. Players can customize their player’s avatar giving the game a new fresh update when compared to its mobile counterpart.

There is also a story mode for players to follow the events in the Puzzle & Dragons anime. Players can choose between the stories of the protagonist Taiga or Ryuji and make their way through the Puzzle & Dragons Champions Cup, facing off with various characters along the way.
