Puzzle & Dragons GOLD Announced for Switch as PvP Focused Title

GungHo Online Entertainment announced Puzzle & Dragons GOLD, a Nintendo Switch exclusive PvP-focused game based on the foundations of the mobile title Puzzle & Dragons.

Puzzle & Dragons GOLD focuses on competitive gameplay where fans in North America will be able to experience their first PvP Puzzle & Dragons titles. Created in collaboration with the original Puzzle & Dragons teams, this collaboration project will encompass the mobile game, as well as include the visuals of the anime.

Puzzle & Dragons GOLD is planned to release on Nintendo Switch in the west in late 2019. The game will receive additional details leading up to the release.

Puzzle & Dragons feature a combination of puzzles and dungeon-crawling mechanics that allow players to battle and collect monster. Throughout the game, players will evolve monsters and customize their elements to incorporate into their chain combos during battles.

Recently, the game received a collaboration with Sanrio Characters that allows players to play through exclusive dungeons as well as introduces two new additions, Gudetama and Pochacco. These characters will join players’ teams as during battles and fight their way through the increasingly difficult Dream Labyrinth floors of the Sanrio Characters Dungeon. At the end of the dungeon lies a challenging battle against the final boss, Hello Kitty World Joker.

Puzzle & Dragons is available now on iOS and Android devices.
