Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Reveals Steam Release Date Set in March

Sega has announced that their puzzle adventure game Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 will launch on PC-via Steam on March 23.

The Steam version will include all of the features available on consoles and a few new features, including additional character and content to be announced ahead of the game’s launch.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 blends Puyo Puyo and Tetris, where players can switch between the game modes for an addictive experience. This sequel will add new modes for offline and online play. In Skill Battle mode, players can equip cards and utilize characters for unique abilities to turn the battles’ tide.

In case you missed it, check out our review of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. The Steam version will also include the latest free update that adds four new characters to the roster, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Lidelle, Ms. Accord, and The Ocean Prince. Each character will bring their own skills to the party during the Skill Battle mode if players create a team.

Additionally, there’s a new online game mode, Boss Raid. Here, players will work together with friends to take down a powerful opponent. Following the rules of Skill Battle mode, players will create their team from the now-expanded roster of characters, and choosing a party with complementary skills is key to a winning strategy.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
