Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Reveals Adventure Mode Details in New Gameplay Trailer

Sega released a new trailer for Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch, on December 8, with a PlayStation 5 release planned for Holiday 2020, and a PC release scheduled for 2021.

The trailer highlights the game’s adventure mode, where players will be reunited with characters from Puyo Puyo Tetris. Adventure Mode merges the world of Puyo Puyo and Tetris after a mysterious, powerful being known as the Dimensional Parasite caused them to collide. This causes Ringo, Tee, and their crew to jump into action to pop Puyos and clear Tertiminos in order to rescue their from a dark corruption. Throughout the adventure, they will uncover more about the mystery and reveal a few secrets along with the way.

Adventure Mode features multiple stages with branching paths and optional levels across and overworld map. Stages can also be replayed for higher scores. Furthermore, players can utilize their skills and play through Skill Battles to earn EXP and level up character stats. There are also unlockable chards that provide special abilities to the characters, along with new characters, backgrounds, and bonus stages.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 blends Puyo Puyo and Tetris, where players can switch between the game modes for an addictive experience. This sequel will add new modes for offline and online play. In Skill Battle mode, players can equip cards and utilize characters for unique abilities to turn the tide of battles.
