Psychonauts 2 Standard Physical & Collector’s Edition Detailed

Skybound Games, Xbox Game Studios, and Double Fine Productions have announced that The Psychonauts 2: The Motherlobe Edition is available for pre-order.

This physical release costs $69.99 USD and will ship on September 27, 2022, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox X across all retailers. Moreover, the game’s standard physical releases will contain a “lenticular outer sleeve with a reversible cover sheet, and will feature a set of six two-sided art cards showcasing final art and concept art from the game, six premium die-cut stickers along with a digital download code granting access to unreleased behind the scenes materials.”

Additionally, retailer iam8bit is hosting an exclusive collector’s edition costing $129.99, with shipments expected to occur in October 2022. This package will contain the following:

  • Psychonauts 2: The Motherlobe Edition with a reversible cover sheet, art cards, a lenticular O-sleeve, and the die-cut sticker set
  • Premium Collector’s Edition box
  • Physical version of the original Psychonauts, available physically for the first time, backward compatible on Xbox One
  • Digital download code for all three volumes of the Psychonauts 2 original soundtrack
  • Five pin set featuring the Feast of the Senses
  • 18×24” Blacklight poster featuring the protagonist, Raz
  • “How are you feeling?” Archetype Raz poster from Double Fine’s senior animator, Chris Lam
  • Sticker sheet

Also of note is that the “PlayStation 4 version comes with both Psychonauts & Psychonauts 2, each on their own disc. For the Xbox One version, you’ll get Psychonauts & Psychonauts 2 on one disc and two discs, respectively.”
