Psychological Horror ‘The Medium’ Gets Gameplay Trailer Revealing New Character

Bloober Team released a new trailer for their psychological horror adventure, The Medium, coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC-via Steam on January 28, 2021.

The trailer introduces viewers to a new character who has yet to be named. The character is based on Marcin Dorociński, the polish actor who recently played Vasily Borgov in the Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit. Information shared about the character is that he is capable of terrible things and is fueled by revenge.

Additionally, the gameplay reveals more about the spirit world, which reflects the real world along with a spirit that lurks there.

During gameplay, players will assume Marianne’s role, a medium hounded by visions living and interacting across two worlds, the real and the spirit realm. Everything needs to be questioned during gameplay. Players need to view events from two different angles, both of which contain scary themes.

The game will be composed by Akira Yamaoka, who is known for the Silent Hill series. This is in hopes to create an atmosphere for both of the words within the game.

Currently, it seems like The Medium will be exclusive to Xbox Series X and PC. The team has not announced if it will be coming to other platforms, but they seem to be focused on Microsoft’s next-gen console from their messaging.
