Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Ver.2 Update Now Available; Newsletter Gives Sonic Adventure 2 Shoes

The wait is finally over. SEGA has just pushed out the Ver.2 update for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. The update data can be downloaded on PlayStation 4, XBOX One, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, but the game can only be accessed from 4 AM EDT, 3 AM CDT, 2 AM MDT or 1 AM PDT, after maintenance concludes.

This brand-new update adds the Creative Space feature, as well as many cool quality of life improvements, including the option to skip content, as well as the new cel-shading avatar option, and much more. A collaboration with Sega’s Sonic characters and themed Build Parts for the Creative Space will be available at various stores and at the in-game AC Shop. This pack includes a 15-day Premium Set ticket and other consumable items. Furthermore, the Sonic Adventure 2 Shoes avatar accessory will be given to all players who sign in for the in-game newsletter through the official website.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a new MMORPG part of the PSO2 universe but is a brand new adventure offering upgraded visuals and a new narrative, amongst other quality-of-life updates. It is considered a “huge-scale update” to Phantasy Star Online 2. Players will find new game systems created using a new graphics engine. The update was made to celebrate the series’s 20th anniversary and the tenth anniversary of Phantasy Star Online 2.
