Project: Eve Gets Insight on Character Creation Process in New Screenshots
Shift Up released new details about their development process when working on their newest title, Project: Eve, in development for PC and consoles.
Following the recent reveal of gameplay showing a boss battle, the developer wanted to expand on the information by releasing new high-resolution screenshots and details. When approaching character designs, the developer creates 3D sculptures images of the characters. For example, the team released images of the monster NA-tive seen in the gameplay trailer.
The developer utilizes technologies such as a high-density 3D scan and performance capture systems, among other techniques. Creature designers first sculpt characters out of clay by hand before converting them into the game.
“Our process of 3D scanning ensures that characters in Project: Eve explode with distinct realism,” says Hyung-Tae Kim, Shift Up CEO. “We can not wait to share more details about what makes this game especially unique.”
In case you missed it, check out our interview with the developer where we asking about the development of Project: Eve.
The developer will release more information soon, but for now, you can check out the new screenshots and 3D sculptures. Additionally, we’ll share the battle gameplay that premiered recently, which we haven’t covered yet on the site:
