Over a year ago, we were shown a few surprises when developer Shift Up revealed Project EVE and Project NIKKE: The Goddess of Victory were in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and mobile devices, respectively.
Both games displayed some unique gameplay elements and promise in concept. However, since then, we haven’t heard much from the team who have been regularly releasing updates for their mobile CCG Destiny Child. Given that we are eager to know more about the projects and where they are in development, we decided to ask about them in an interview with the developer.
During our interview, we let Shift Up Producer Jackie Lee known that if we didn’t ask about the development status of Project EVE and Project NIKKE, we’d probably receive a lot of backlash from our readers, to which he replied, “There has been a lot of progress.” Lee continued by adding, “Though it is difficult to disclose the detailed information now, I believe there will be an opportunity to introduce something new in the not too distant future. Please wait a while!”
Thankfully, it seems the teams are still working on the projects and we should be hearing more soon. Currently, now much is known about Project EVE or Project NIKKE: The Goddess of Victory. What we do know is that EVE is being developed in Unreal Engine 4 for consoles and NIKKE is being developed for mobile devises and features cover-based shooting mechanics.
Please be on the lookout for the full interview with more details from the developer soon.
