Project Code Name “M” Shares New Gameplay Trailer; By The House in Fata Morgana Developer

Developer Novect, known for the highly acclaimed The House in Fata Morgana, has shared a new trailer for their upcoming visual novel, Project Code Name “M.” Various new scenes are revealed, depicting the detective and daily life contexts.

Throughout this title, players investigate a serial murder case from two perspectives, the killer and detectives who work in the body disposal business. This game takes place in modern Japan, in downtown Tokyo, with specific locations like Asakusa and Yoshiwara being depicted. Players themselves try to devise and enact the perfect crime, and they interview victimized parties afterward through the primary gimmick of switching perspectives.

Project Code Name “M” is a single-player-only title planned to release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. However, no release date or window has been provided yet.

This title was initially announced in May 2022, alongside its opening theme, “The Sheep in the Slaughterhouse.”
