Hellseed: Chapter 1 Aims to Scare the Crap Out of You in New Teaser Trailer
The Italian based indie studio, Profenix Studio, released a teaser trailer today for their horror-adventure, Hellseed: Chapter 1, coming to PC-via Steam in October 2020.
Hellseed will use an updated version of their inhouse engine “S2 Engine HD,” which was made to deliver improved visuals, details, and gameplay systems. The game is set in 1980, where players assume the role of a detective sent to investigate a psychiatric hospital in the province of Turin. It’s been reported that a few people, including officers, have come up as missing, so it’s time to get to the bottom of this. However, that proves to be rather difficult given that their are a ton of strange happenings surrounding this place, and a dark presence seems to be closing in.
The trailer shows a showcase of horror as it focuses on plenty of demonic forces. Hopefully, the studio releases a full trailer soon with even more updated gameplay.
Those following the developer’s work will recognize their name from S2 Engine HD, a video game engine capable of next-gen graphics and modern features, which was used to developed BlackSoul. While this tool isn’t well known, it’s fantastic to see a small indie team create a tool that can be used to bring someone’s dream to life.
