Prinny Presents NIS Classics Vol. 1 Brings Phantom Brave and Soul Nomad to Switch and PC this Summer

During New Game+ Expo, NIS America announced Prinny Presents NIS Classics Vol. 1. This collection includes remastered editions of strategy RPGs Phantom Brave and Soul Nomad & the World Eaters. It’ll be available for Switch and PC on Summer 2021.

While Phantom Brave was already released on PC before, it’s the first rerelease of Soul Nomad, which was originally only available on PS2 in the West. Both are classic RPGs from Nippon Ichi Software and this version also includes all the extra content from Phantom Brave’s previous rereleases.

Phantom Brave tells the story of Marona, who lost her parents when she was still little, and a phantom called Ash. As the girl has the power to talk to phantoms, the two embark in an adventure to buy Phantom Isle and make friends. One interesting aspect of the game is the free-roaming gridless aspect of the tactical battles.

Soul Nomad tells the story of a person who gets a long black sword infused with the soul of a master of Death known as Gig. Using that power and building an army of allies, he or she will have to fight against the reawakened World Eaters who threaten the world.

The games include dual audio. NIS America has also announced a Limited Edition for the Switch game which includes a hardcover art book, the complete 2-disc soundtrack, acrylic stands with collector coins and a collector’s box. It’s available for pre-order on the NISA Online Store.
