Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Still Only in Conception Phase; Will Not Appear at June 2023 Ubisoft Forward Event

Ubisoft has announced that the highly anticipated Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not appear at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event occurring on June 12, 2023.

However, the producer and game director of the title from Ubisoft Montreal, Jean-Francois Naud and Michael McIntyre, respectively, were interviewed regarding ongoing developments. Unfortunately, it’s confirmed that the game is still only in its conception stage:

JFN: In terms of the development stage, we’re in conception right now. Since we took over the project, we’ve been looking at feedback from the community and finding our own way of delivering the game. Now, we’re building up the team, defining the priorities, putting prototypes together, testing elements, and looking at how we can include community feedback in the development as well. It’s still in an early stage, and players should not expect to hear more about the game this year, but rest assured that we’re all putting our strengths and heart into this project.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake is releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at some point. But those platforms probably aren’t certain anymore.
