Prince of Persia The Lost Crown Reveals New Gameplay Trailer
During the latest Nintendo Direct, Ubisoft unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming 2.5D action platformer Prince of Persia The Lost Crown.
The title’s gameplay loop and setting are highlighted, with sword and bow techniques and time powers to progress. Protagonist Sargon will also learn new abilities and equip amulets to boost said abilities and grant other perks. The number of amulets one can equip is limited, though.
This entry seems heavily similar to the older Prince of Persia titles, featuring the new protagonist Sargon with 2.5D action, combat, puzzle solving, and platforming. Considering the state the Sands of Time Remake is in now, it’s definitely surprising to see a new original game suddenly announced. Still, we’re pretty excited, and we’ll be sure to update you all on any significant announcements.
Sargon is part of a group of warriors called The Immortals, assigned the task of rescuing Prince Ghassan. They explore Mount Qaf, which has recently become hostile, and they discover that time itself is a force to be reckoned with. The title will boast a soundtrack composed by the Iranian-born composer Mentrix alongside Gareth Coker.
