Prince of Persia The Lost Crown Announced for Consoles & PC; January 2024 Release
During today’s Summer Game Fest event, Ubisoft Montpellier announced a brand-new unexpected entry in the Prince of Persia franchise, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Amazon Luna, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on January 18, 2024.
This entry seems heavily similar to the older Prince of Persia titles, featuring the new protagonist Sargon with 2.5D action, combat, puzzle solving, and platforming. Considering the state the Sands of Time Remake is in now, it’s definitely surprising to see a new original game suddenly announced. Still, we’re pretty excited, and we’ll be sure to update you all on any significant announcements.
Sargon is part of a group of warriors called The Immortals, assigned the task of rescuing Prince Ghassan. They explore Mount Qaf, which has recently become hostile, and they discover that time itself is a force to be reckoned with. The title will boast a soundtrack composed by the Iranian-born composer Mentrix alongside Gareth Coker.
