PQube Teases Their Own IP: A Visual Novel Developed By Art Co. and Made With Their “Special Touch”

Publisher PQube, known for localizing Japanese and indie games in the west, has announced they are now working on their very own IP.

The mystery game will be a currently nameless visual novel that is being developed by Japanese developer Art Co., known for their work on the Doraemon series and Unchained Blades ReXX.

The team also makes a comment about adding in their “Special touch”, which could mean that they are planning to include some sort of romance interaction feature in the game. However, at this time, they are keeping it pretty tight-lipped.

As for release platforms, the publisher is most likely planning a PC release but has been also eluding to the possibility of a release on Nintendo Switch. Recently, the publisher announced that they couldn’t seem to overcome development difficulties with Song of Memories on Switch, and had to cancel the release. However, this is not the same developer.

As of now, all fans get is an illustration fo girl lying on the floor. She seems to be dead and holding something in her hand. At the bottom right you can see who the developer is, which I imagine was intentional.

The studio asks to stay tuned to see more. You can check out the screenshot below:

Author’s take: I love a good surprise.
