Portal: Companion Collection Releasing for Switch Today

Portal: Companion Collection, announced earlier this year in a different Nintendo Direct presentation, was revealed at today’s Direct Mini to be releasing later today.

The collection, created in partnership between Valve and Nvidia, will see both of the official Portal titles releasing on a console for the first time since the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Portal was a brief, experimental title created by a team hired by Valve after the company took notice of their student project Narbacular Drop, and released as part of The Orange Box in 2007.

Portal 2 was a more full-scale game released in 2011, to critical acclaim and accolade. Spin-off titles Bridge Constructor Portal and Aperture Desk Job are not included in the collection, though Bridge Constructor Portal is already available on the Switch eShop.
