Pony Island 2: Panda Circus Announced; From the Creator of Inscryption

One of the first titles announced at The Game Awards 2023 was a surprise sequel to Pony Island, the breakout title from Canadian indie dev Daniel Mullins. Pony Island was a deceptive game centering around playing what looks to be an old arcade cabinet game of the same name, only to soon learn that the Devil himself has corrupted the game and is trying to claim their soul.

The new sequel appears centered around a similar cabinet with a similar game-within-a-game, though this one looks significantly more involved and the game has an ordinary third-person experience included as well. This title appears to be much more forthcoming with the twist of the original, so knowing this developer, there’s probably even more afoot.

The game’s release window was deliberately obscured, with the trailer glitching between “2024”, “2025”, and “2026”, but the Steam page is up now, with the game only announced for PC thus far.
