The Pokémon Company has announced that a new expansion for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, Pulsing Aura, will be released on April 27, 2026.

The expansion focuses on battle-driven themes, featuring Mega Evolution Pokémon such as Mega Lucario and Mega Sceptile on its booster packs. New cards included in the set feature Mega Lucario ex, Mega Sceptile ex, and Vaporeon ex, alongside Trainer cards designed to strengthen Fighting-type Pokémon in combat.

A new gold frame system will also be introduced with this expansion. Players can earn gold frames for rarity cards by collecting duplicates. Obtaining 10 copies of the same card automatically unlocks a gold frame, including retroactively for cards already owned. Additional frames can be created by consuming duplicates through the Obtain Flair feature, and gold-framed cards can be traded.

Several in-game events are scheduled to roll out alongside and following the expansion’s release. Elite Deck Gift Missions, running from late April to late July, will reward players with a Fire-type deck featuring Mega Charizard Y ex and Moltres ex. Handy Card Collection Missions during the same period will offer Trainer cards such as May and Cyrus.

A Special Event 2026 celebration will take place from late April to early May, marking the game’s 1.5-year milestone with solo battles, missions, and rewards including Zygarde ex and various accessories. The Pulsing Aura Emblem Event will follow in early to mid-May, offering battle rewards like emblems and items.

Additional events include Community Week in early May, focused on trading-related missions, and the Mega Heracross ex Drop Event in May, which introduces solo challenges with promo pack rewards. Later in May, the Wonder Pick Event will feature promo cards such as Treecko and Gallade, along with event shop rewards.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is available on mobile devices via iOS and Android.
