Pokémon Sword and Shield Shows Camping Features in New Trailer

The Pokémon Company International launched a new trailer for their upcoming RPG adventure Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, coming to Nintendo Switch on November 15.

The trailer starts off by introducing some Pokémon to the game, including Cramorant, a flying/water type with a Gulp Missile ability, and Polteageist, a ghost type with a Weak Armor ability. Each Pokémon will be available to catch in this new game.

Additionally, players get a look at the new camping feature. During the adventure on the field map, players will be able to set up camp and interact with their Pokémon in various ways. In a first-person view, players will be able to pet, play, and cook with their Pokémon friends. However, that’s not all, this mode as some online components as well that allows a group of up to four and cook together to make new meals. The trailer also shows off some of the character customization options available to players that allows them to change their clothes and hairstyles.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield take place in a new region known as the Galar region, which is filled with the countryside, city, and snow-covered environments. Players will also be able to choose from new starter Pokémon Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble as they work towards becoming a Pokemon Champion.
