Pokémon Sword and Shield Reveal Stat Raising Items and Features

The Pokémon Company International launched a new trailer for their upcoming RPG adventure Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, coming to Nintendo Switch on November 15.

The trailer focuses heavily on how trainers will be able to train their Pokémon by using what is known as “Mint”. This will power up specific stats on a Pokémon such as their Special Attack and Defense. This means that Mints have the ability to alter a Pokémon significantly, making each Pokémon encountered differently. Calcium is also available that can be used to max out a Pokémon’s base point. There is also XP items available to power up your Pokémon.

Additionally, from launch until early January 2020, Trainers will be able to encounter a higher rate of Gigantamax Pokémon.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield take place in a new region known as the Galar region, which is filled with the countryside, city, and snow-covered environments. Players will also be able to choose from new starter Pokémon Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble as they work towards becoming a Pokemon Champion. The game will feature online components as well where players are able to camp and compare Pokémon.
