The Pokémon Company International posted a video via Nintendo UK showing off a couple of tidbits for their upcoming RPG adventure Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, coming to Nintendo Switch on November 15.
The video is a short presentation entitled ‘A message from GAME FREAK’s Shigeru Ohmori’, which features the director of the upcoming game giving the audience a tour of what seems to be one of the opening towns of the RPG. It confirms once and for all that trainer customization is properly back in the form of boutiques (although their options are still shrouded in mystery). We also get to see a newly designed Pokémon center, a train station, the outside of the regional professor, Magnolia’s, laboratory, where she researches the ‘Dynamax’ phenomenon. It’s also implied we’ll be able to buy produce from a local grocer. Thanks Pokémon for being a good role model.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield take place in a new region known as the Galar region, which is filled with the countryside, city, and snow-covered environments. Players will also be able to choose from new starter Pokémon Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble as they work towards becoming a Pokemon Champion.
