Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Announce The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC; 2 Parts Releasing 2023, New Outfits, Areas & Pokémon

During the February 2023 Pokémon Presents broadcast, the Pokémon Company, Game Freak, and Nintendo announced that the latest mainline outings in the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, will receive new DLC titled The Hidden Treasure Area of Zero.

This DLC will be divided into two parts; the first part is The Teal Mask launching in the Fall of 2023, and the second part is The Indigo Disk, which will launch in the Winter of 2023. Pre-orders will begin on the eShop soon.

The Teal Mask will let players visit the land of Kitakami as part of a school trip beyond the Paldea region. In addition, a regularly held festival in the land will be conducted as players try to figure out the truth behind multiple folktales. On the other hand, The Indigo Disk will have players study as an exchange student in Blueberry Academy. Cumulatively, over 230 Pokémon will return via both DLCs.

The Teal Mask will feature new Pokémon Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti, and the new legendary Ogerpon.

Purchases will grant new wearable uniforms too, and buying the DLC by October 21, 2023, will provide a special Hisuian Zoraark that can’t be obtained via normal gameplay. It has the Charismatic Mark, knows Happy Hour, and its Tera Type is Dark. The coding housing this content will be redeemable until February 29, 2024.
