Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet Reveal November 2022 Release Date; Professors, Multiplayer & More
Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and Game Freak have unveiled a brand new trailer for the upcoming mainline titles debuting generation 9, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
Throughout this trailer, prospective players are introduced to the game exclusive professors, Professor Sada for Scarlet and Professor Turo for Violet. A new character who is potentially your rival is also revealed; Nemona. She is a fantastic battler and quite an experienced trainer. However, she isn’t the best when it comes to throwing Poké balls.
Additionally, a vast degree of gameplay highlights the region’s diverse locales and landmarks. New Pokémon are showcased, such as the loveable Lechonk. I can’t believe they actually named a Pokémon that. Trading was also lightly touched upon, with two trainers exchanging Pokémon in a wintry tundra.
Combat also looks to be the same as ever, though it’s difficult to classify it as unchanged yet. The region-exclusive gimmick has not been revealed, after all. Multiplayer has been confirmed with up to four players at a given time, which comprises full exploration, trading, and battling. The legendaries have also been shown, and they have quite the expounding chests. The legendary for Scarlet is Koraidon, while the legendary for Violet is Miraidon.
The games have been confirmed to be fully open-world with no story restrictions. The region’s name has also not been stated yet. Toby Fox, the creator of Undertale and Deltarune, confirmed that he composed the field music for these games.
