Pokémon Legends: Arceus Shares 4K 360-Degree Video Showcasing The Hisui Region
The official Pokémon Youtube channel has shared an unexpected new video ahead of Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ release. This is a 360-degree video where watchers can take control and view the ancient Hisui region from various angles. Further, it is available in 4K, making it a clear, cohesive experience. Personally, all this video does is highlight the region’s almost dead-looking world. There’s a distinct lack of Pokémon shown, which I think defeats the purpose of this video in the first place, but I digress.

Regardless of this trailer, though, I can’t deny that I still feel a sliver of excitement for this release. Between its reveals and the fresh new components of the battle system, some bold steps are being transparently taken here. While I wasn’t sold on this title during its initial reveal, newly revealed footage is undoubtedly amping up the hype.
The sheer premise of a Pokémon title being set this far in the past is enticing enough, and I hope that the game’s execution embraces its contextual strengths well. Based on its trailers, that certainly seems to be the case, but we will merely have to wait and see how every game design aspect coalesces.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is releasing for Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022.
