New PlayStation State of Play Tomorrow; 20-Minute Japanese Publisher Focus

Playstation took to their official Twitter account to announce the date for their next State of Play presentation. The new State of Play is set to take place on Wednesday, March 9 (tomorrow as of the time of writing) at 2 PM PT/5 PM ET.

The presentation will be approximately 20 minutes long and will not include any updates on Playstation VR2 hardware or titles. Instead, this presentation will have a focus on Japanese developers and publishers, with a few updates from other regions as well.

You can check out the State of Play on the Playstation YouTube channel and Twitch page. Keep in mind that if you’re going to co-stream the event, copywritten content could potentially be shown at some point.

Several potential announcements and updates can be made during this stream tomorrow, with perhaps the most obvious of those occurrences regarding Final Fantasy XVI. The title was recently delayed, with producer Naoki Yoshida stating that more news would arrive in Spring 2022. And, well, while it’s technically not Spring yet, it’s close enough for new information on the game to be understandable.

Regardless, we’re plenty excited to see what this lengthy 20-minute presentation grants fans, and we only have to wait for a little over a day.
