[UPDATE] PlayStation Plus June 2022 Games Revealed & Revamped PS Plus
UPDATE (6/13/2022): The revamped PlayStation Plus service is now available in the U.S, housing several classics like Ape Escape, Resident Evil Director’s Cut, and more. View the Premium/Extra library. Nights of Azure 1 and 2, Ys VIII, Ys IX, Akiba’s Beat (in select regions), and Megadimension Neptunia VII are some of the available titles.
View the Classics library. Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed, Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star, and more. Oddly, the Japanese Trails in the Sky PS3 ports were listed, which was most definitely an error.
Sony has revealed its June 2022 PlayStation Plus titles that will be available for all tiers of subscribers from June 7, 2022, until July 4, 2022. Users have until June 6, 2022, to add the May 2022 PlayStation Plus catalog to their library.
The three included titles for June 2022 are the following:
- God of War (2018)
- Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
- Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
God of War assuredly needs no introduction, especially since its sequel is planned to release later this year. Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is a 4 versus 4 multiplayer experience that has grown quite a dedicated community since its initial release.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is likely the most notable free title included in this free-game lineup as it’s still a relatively recent release, and it faded from culture’s collective consciousness soon after its launch. However, its recently revealed DLC lineup has undoubtedly resurged interest.
This title boasts rollback netcode for increased responsiveness for all involved players. Further, the intricacy of the cast’s movesets is not to be underestimated, with the game’s lightning fast-pace requiring intense skill from those serious about being competitive.
Still, casual fans have plenty to enjoy, such as iconic environments like Jellyfish Fields from the SpongeBob SquarePants television show. Helga, Zim, Nigel Thornberry, and many more characters are also playable. Humorously, Jimmy Neutron is not around despite his father joining the game later this year. Poor Jimmy.
