Playism Publishing Action RPG ‘Journey Record’ for PC 2024

Playism has announced they will publish the Kochi Create-developed action RPG Journey Record. Throughout this title, players will use the Magic Eye Camera and Crystals to swap between seeing the world in 2D or 3D as they progress through puzzle-like stages.

The story follows a girl who has lost her vision, with her best friend, her cat, being the vehicle for her sight via the Magic Eye Camera. Further, the crystals will allow her to view the world from multiple perspectives, eventually informing her of a greater truth. Combat will also require players to take advantage of the perspective shifts.

The developer shared the following message:

“Hello, this is Kochi Create.

5 years ago, I thought to myself while playing a game, “I want to go over there, to the place you see in the background,” and this was the beginning of Journey Record.

In this game, you’ll be attacked by enemies in the background, and even visit the towns and other locations in the backdrop.

I’ve received a lot of feedback from PLAYISM, and the game has gone through a lot of twists and turns (such as the genre changing from a pure RPG to an action RPG), but I’m satisfied with the result.

I hope you’ll support us as we work hard to complete the game!”
