Square Enix Reveals New Project With PlatinumGames Titled ‘Babylon’s Fall’ in Teaser Trailer

Square Enix revealed new details about their PlatinumGames-codeveloped action title named Babylon’s Fall, in development for PS4 and PC.

Revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play event, players got a chance to preview the game’s environments, along with the fast action, which revolves around swordplay and flashy moves. The game seems to borrow much of what fans loved about the most recent product of collaboration between the studios, NieR: Automata.

This new adventure stars an unnamed male main protagonist who wields a sword and grapple. His moves pack straight behind each attack as he swiftly moves around the levels while chaining together attacks. The sword also seems to be a part of him as it can be seen floating around him.

Not much has been revealed at this time and the developer states that they will reveal more about the project in summer 2020. It’s also new revealed if this game is set in Drakengard universe, which has had its share of male protagonists.

One thing the trailer also quickly shows is the original Brushwork Filter, which is used to create the game’s art style.

Well, to hold you off until next summer, you can watch the trailer below:
