Puzzle Platformer ‘Planet of Lana’ Shows Off Beautiful Gameplay and Soundtrack in New Trailer

Thunderful Publishing released new gameplay from the Wishfully Studios-developed puzzle adventure, Planet of Lana, coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC-via Steam in 2022.

The publisher also shared that the PC and Xbox Series X versions of the game will run at a native resolution of 4K (2160p) at 60 frames per second. Further, Takeshi, known for his work on The Last Guardian, the Star Wars franchise, and Star Trek: Enterprise, will put his talent to work composing the game’s soundtrack.

“I’m always attracted to projects with a strong visual identity in combination with touching stories and universal themes,” said Takeshi Furukawa, composer of Planet of Lana. “But beyond the opportunity to provide emotional weight to this beautiful world, what intrigued me, even more, is the integral role that music plays in the story of the game.”

Planet of Lana tells the story of Lana and her loyal companion, Mui, as they embark on a mission to save her sister on an alien planet. A stunning world made with hand-drawn artwork, parallax layering, and subtle use of 3D graphics awaits as you experience the story. Platform, solve puzzles, stealth, and a companion mechanic all tie together to craft unique storytelling and gameplay experiences.
