Grim Adventure ‘A Plague Tale: Innocence’ Gets Release Date and Launches New Video Series

Asobo Studio released a new video for their upcoming adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 14.

The video is a part of a mini-series campaign of trails that aim to walk the player through the development and direction that the game is taking. Titled Roots of Innocence, this first episode focuses on Amicia and Hugo, the two main character of A Plague Tale: Innocence who the player will more about over the game’s narrative. The two characters must survive in 14th century France, and the player must lead them to survival as they encounter many hardships and there’s also the rat plague that they’ll need to deal with.

Also in the video, players will meet the voice actors, Charlotte McBurney and Logan Hannan, and get a behind the scenes look at their audio session.

A Plague Tale: Innocence will tell a grim and emotional story, that’ll send players on a journey through medieval France in the year 1349 to help characters two lost children, Amicia and Hugo De Rune, survive a harsh, brutal world plagued by the Black Death (also known as the Black Plague, which was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history). You’ll be going on one rocky journey of adventure, action, and stealth as you attempt to escape from terrifying Inquisition soldiers while also trying to avoid swarms of disease-infested rats that would love to take a bite or two out of you. Across your journey, you’ll explore desolate and plague-ridden landscapes, like medieval castles and villages, catacombs, wasteland battlefields, and verdant forests, as you search for shelter.
