Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition Gets Console Release Date; Includes Major Updates and Expansions

Versus Evil announced that the Obsidian Entertainment developed RPG adventure Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2020, with a Nintendo Switch release planned for early 2020.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition includes all the major updates and expansion available in the PC version of the game, which tells the story of vast RPG adventure. Players are able to join Vatnir in the Beast of Winter or face the challenges met in the Crucible of Kazuwari in Seeker, Slayer, Survivor.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition delivers the freedom of tabletop role-playing that allows console gamers to craft their own definitive adventure,” said Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil.

Digital pre-orders are now available for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition on PS4 and Xbox One, with a Standard Edition and Ultimate Collector’s Edition published by THQ Nordic.

The collector’s edition includes:

  • Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire [including the 5.0 PC patch], and all DLCs: Beast of Winter, The Forgotten Sanctum, Seeker, Slayer, Survivor
  • 10″/25cm Od Nua Statue
  • Spacepig Keychain
  • Metal-optic 3D Sticker
  • Premium Box

Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer for the game showing gameplay running on console hardware. The trailer also gives a preview of some of the more action-focused parts of the game’s many RPG campaigns.
