New Pikmin 4 Trailer Details Olimar Crash-Landing Again & Character Creation Customization

Nintendo has published a new trailer for their upcoming strategy adventure, Pikmin 4, emphasizing this mainline outing’s narrative premise. The familiar Captain Olimar from the series’ roots has crash-landed on a new planet, and the group set to save him, the Rescue Corps, has also crash-landed on this very same planet.

The player character is the newest member of the Rescue Corps, determined to save both crashed parties. You can customize yourself in various ways, including your hairstyle, clothing color, and facial features.

The Pikmin games follow several characters as they explore a new planet utilizing the mysterious and adorable titular creatures. Pikmin arrive in several types, and it’s up to players to figure out how to best divide their forces as they collect valuable treasure and defeat countless enemies.

I’m a massive fan of the first two entries and haven’t played Pikmin 3 yet, despite owning it. I suppose with this next entry launching in July, now’s as good a time as any to catch up.

Pikmin 4 will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2023. Fans can pre-order the title physically or digitally via the Nintendo Switch eShop for $59.99. This entry will boast support for the following languages:
