Phoenix Point a Strategy RPG From XCOM Creator Gets Release Date
Snapshot Games announced that their strategy RPG Phoenix Point will launch on PC and Mac-via the Epic Games Store on December 3.
Phoenix Point is created by developers who worked on the XCOM series and builds on the foundation set in place by that series. The game features turn-based RPG mechanics where players will research new technologies and build alliances to unite the platen or destroy everything. Players are able to customize their squad and deploy them in into conflict zones around the globe. The game features dynamic objective and destructible environments along with procedurally generated maps, branching storylines, and enemies that mutate to counter the player’s tactics, which creates a variety of challenges and surprises.
The developer also released a new trailer focused on exploration in the game where players will be able to travel around the map and inspect points-of-interest. Players are able to deploy to any of the available areas. However, depending on who the leader is or if the player wants to start a fight with a certain group, they might want to stay away.
More video and details will be released for Phoenix Point closer to the game’s release, but for now, you can watch the exploration video below:
