Playism announced they will publish the Makaroll-developed deckbuilding adventure Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire on PC via Steam in 2023.
Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire is a sequel to the 2019 release Phantom Rose. Players are able to jump back into this twisted world to experience a unique deckbuilding experience. The game features multiple difficulty levels, modes, and a few different ways to play.
There are 2 playable classes, Blade and Mage, allowing for more deck customization. Further, players can play through Arcade mode, which is like a boss mode for rewards.
Gameplay features deckbuilding and roguelike elements with a unique draw-less card mechanic. Players must navigate a world where evil creatures known as Phantoms are attacking. This is when Aria wakes up in an abandoned classroom with no memory. However, in her hand, she has a student card with some information, but all she wants to do now is escape.
During gameplay, players will craft their deck with cards obtained through defeating Phantoms on their adventure. Unlike most deck-building games, Phantom Rose 2 adopts a draw-less card mechanic, a unique feature retained from Phantom Rose.
Instead of relying on the luck of the draw, you are required to carefully manage the cooldown of your cards to swiftly and efficiently defeat your foe.
