Action RPG ‘Phantom Blade: Executioners’ Gives Extended Look at Gameplay in New Character Trailer for Soul
S-Game released a new trailer for their fast-action RPG Phantom Blade: Executioners will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Mobile Devices, and PC via the Epic Games Store on November 2, 2023.
The trailer highlights the main protagonist, Soul. During gameplay, players will have access to his powerful skills and abilities, that will hopefully be enough to get through the mobs of enemies. Soul may be the youngest Will of the Order, but he’s more than a capable fighter.
Phantom Blade: Executioners introduces four playable characters who specialize in mystical Wuxia skills and eradicate Sha-Chi-enhanced monsters throughout a hand-painted style 2D world. This is also the first global release from this team, which is also developing Phantom Blade Zero.
Further, pre-registration is open now.
Phantom Blade: Executioners has players assume the role of members of the Order, utilizing their mastery of martial arts infused with Wuxia to eliminate human hosts transformed by forbidden Sha-Chi engineering techniques. The gameplay revolves around precise timing, allowing players to execute dynamic skill-based combos with the press of a button.
Phantom bonuses acquired during the game can be applied to character skills to boost damage and enhance martial arts abilities. Valuable equipment collected in battles can be mixed and matched, and players can venture into procedurally-generated Purge Dungeons to obtain coveted Sin Gears.
While the controls are intuitive and enjoyable, Phantom Blade: Executioners offers formidable challenges. Monstrous bosses consumed by Sha-Chi require players to experiment with various characters, phantom bonuses, equipment, and perks to find the best fit for their playstyle. When the battles become overwhelming, co-op mode allows players to team up with allies to confront the Sha-Chi threat together. Additionally, the game sets the stage for the hero Soul, who takes the lead role in Phantom Blade Zero.
