UPDATE: Action RPG ‘Phantom Blade: Executioners’ Launches on Mobile Devices

S-Game has launched their fast-action RPG Phantom Blade: Executioners on iOS and Android devices. The game is also in development for PC, but a release date has not been provided.

UPDATE: The developer shared that the PlayStation 5 and PC release has been delayed and should be available early next week.

To celebrate the launch, the publisher released a new trailer highlighting the game’s combat. One thing you should be aware of is that this is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. Those who jump into the game early will receive in-game rewards but expect premium currency options when you log in.

Phantom Blade: Executioners has players assume the role of members of the Order, utilizing their mastery of martial arts infused with Wuxia to eliminate human hosts transformed by forbidden Sha-Chi engineering techniques. The gameplay revolves around precise timing, allowing players to execute dynamic skill-based combos with the press of a button.

Phantom bonuses acquired during the game can be applied to character skills to boost damage and enhance martial arts abilities. Valuable equipment collected in battles can be mixed and matched, and players can venture into procedurally-generated Purge Dungeons to obtain coveted Sin Gears.

While the controls are intuitive and enjoyable, Phantom Blade: Executioners offers formidable challenges. Monstrous bosses consumed by Sha-Chi require players to experiment with various characters, phantom bonuses, equipment, and perks to find the best fit for their playstyle. When the battles become overwhelming, co-op mode allows players to team up with allies to confront the Sha-Chi threat together. Additionally, the game sets the stage for the hero Soul, who takes the lead role in Phantom Blade Zero.
