Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis x SPRIGGAN Collab Now Available; Exclusive Avatar Wear, Login Bonuses & More

SEGA has just officially announced that the collaboration event between the Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis MMO and the sci-fi anime SPRIGGAN is now ongoing. The collab will run from October 18 to November 21 and features exclusive avatar items, Build Parts, Weapon Camos, and a Limited-time Login Bonus.

In the Collaboration Scratch Ticket, SPRIGGAN Style, players can obtain the Armored Muscle Suit used by the anime’s main character, Yu Ominae, as well as a jacket modeled after Jean Jacquemonde’s costume.

There are also weapon camos to customize your weapons with, including Yu Onimae’s Fighting Knife (for Knuckles and Katanas), Handgun (for Assault Rifle and Twin Machine Gun weapons), and his Twin Blow effect (for Twin Daggers and Knuckle weapons). Furthermore, there are also several exclusive Emotes, Stamps, Posters, and Build Parts to customize your Creative Space with.

Lastly, players who login can obtain exclusive life-size cutouts to place in the Creative Space, as well as Genesis Points and Star Gems.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a new MMORPG part of the PSO2 universe but is a brand new adventure offering upgraded visuals and a new narrative, amongst other quality-of-life updates. It is considered a “huge-scale update” to Phantasy Star Online 2. Players will find new game systems created using a new graphics engine. The update was made to celebrate the series’s 20th anniversary and the tenth anniversary of Phantasy Star Online 2. 

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is currently available for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, XBOX One, XBOX Series X|S and PlayStation 4.
