Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Reveals November 2023 Update; New Limited-Time Quests & Collab Event

During their NGS Headline, developer SEGA revealed the latest details about the updates that are coming to the Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis game for the month of November. Among these include another collaboration event, new limited-time quests and outfits. So without further ado, let’s get started with it.

First up, starting November 1st, a new Rank will be added to the Retem Alnothe Combat Sector, which will feature both Starless and a brand-new boss enemy. Furthermore, for a limited time, starting on November 8th, Giant Mutants will appear across several Exploration Sectors in Retem. New limited-time and daily tasks will also be added, with various rewards.

Next up, a new Urgent Quest will be added. The Omen of the Planetbreaker Urgent Quest will be available from November 15th. This is a quest based off the Major Target Suppression Mission Quest: Sign of the Planetbreaker limited-time quest, which was held back in August of this year. The quest failure conditions and enemy attack power have both been made much easier than before. Furthermore, the quest will also have the new 10-star Flugelgard series of weapons, which contain a skill that strengthen all of your allies after using a Photon Blast.

Moving right along, on November 8th, the new AC Scratch Ticket: Elemental Defender, will be released. The lineup includes spirited garbs, formal dress wear, and more. And on November 15th, the SG Scratch Ticket lineup will be updated to include popular PSO2 outfits with NGS specs.

Furthermore, on November 1, 2023, the Remix Line Nov ’23 AC Scratch Ticket will be released, which will include several items that have been previously released. In addition, there’s also the AC Support Item Select Nov ’23 Scratch Ticket, which contains augments and useful EXP items to help strengthen your weapons.

And now, for the collab events. On November 22nd, New Genesis will be collaborating with Kotobukiya’s Frame Arms Girl plastic model series. The collab will include both a limited-time login bonus, as well as an AC Scratch Ticket, the Frame Arms Style, where you can obtain several CAST parts in addition to some PSO2 collab items.

The collaborations don’t stop there, however, as the developers have announced that NGS will be collaborating with the BLACK LAGOON action anime in December 2023, with avatar parts that allow you to transform into the main characters, and Weapon Camos inspired by the various firearms that appear in the series. More details about this collaboration will be disclosed on the next NGS Headline, which is set to be broadcasted on November 28th, 2023.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a new MMORPG part of the PSO2 universe but is a brand new adventure offering upgraded visuals and a new narrative, amongst other quality-of-life updates. It is considered a “huge-scale update” to Phantasy Star Online 2. Players will find new game systems created using a new graphics engine. The update was made to celebrate the series’s 2oth anniversary and the tenth anniversary of Phantasy Star Online 2. 

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store or the Microsoft Store) and PlayStation 4 as a free-to-play game. You can watch the latest NGS Headline here:
