Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Gets June Release Window For Global Launch
Sega announced that their MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will launch on Xbox One and PC-via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store in June 2021. The game will also receive a PlayStation 4 and Switch release in Japan.
This release will have more details for western fans soon, but currently, there is a physical release planned in Japan with a digital starter pack available.
The publisher will host a Closed Beta test on May 14, 2021, to gather feedback from players and stress the server.
The Closed Beta will take place from May 14, 2021, through May 16, 2021, on PC-via Windows 10. Registration begins on April 21, 2021, at 10 am PDT via the Xbox Insider Hub App.
This beta period will have a limited number of applicants who can register on a first-come, first-served basis.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a new MMORPG that is a part of the PSO2 universe but is a brand new adventure offering upgrading visuals and a new narrative, amongst other quality-of-life updates.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will be a “huge-scale update” to Phantasy Star Online 2. Players will find new game systems created using a new graphics engine. The update was made in celebration of the series’s 2oth anniversary and the tenth anniversary of Phantasy Star Online 2.
