Phantasy Star Online 2 Launches Sakura Wars Collaboration Later This Week

Sega announced a new collaboration between their MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2 and the Sega-developed action-adventure Sakura Wars, available on September 16.

The collaboration will allow players to dress up as characters from across the Sakura Wars series, both new and old. This means recent fans can enjoy the even with Seijuro Kamiyama and Sakura Amamiya’s outfit along with some ICR uniforms and even a few of the mechs. Each character has their icon weapons, which are equippable as well.

The collaboration lasts from September 16 through October 13. Players can access the event costumes via the AC Scratch Ticket titled Sakura Memories.

During Phantasy Star Online 2 Episode 4, players awaken from a long sleep, and they find out that an enemy known as The Phantom has appeared, who are essentially fake ARKS members. If that wasn’t hard enough to wake up to, the dimension of Earth has been discovered.

The real ARK members will now be able to unlock a new level cap and explore new locations, Tokyo, and Las Vegas as they continue their adventure to solve the mystery of the black shadow and purge the planet of these fierce enemies.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is available now on Xbox One and PC-via the Microsoft Store and Steam.
