Phantasy Star Online 2 on Xbox One Exclusive to NA for Now; Gameplay Details Provided
Sega has officially announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 will release in North America and PC on Xbox One in Spring 2020.
Following today’s official announcement, the publisher released additional information for the title such as that the Europian release for the game has not yet been confirmed. While this wouldn’t be a problem for people who import games, finding a server to host the game might introduce some roadblocks. The official statement from the publisher comes from Twitter saying, “Regarding an EMEA release, there’s nothing to confirm right now. We understand it’s frustrating, but when we have more news to share, we will.”
During Phantasy Star Online 2 players will become a member of a research expedition called “Arks”, which belong to a feel of interplanetary cruising ships. While researching various planets, the player’s mission evolves into an adventure that revolves around auto-generated maps, sudden events, and a Multiplay Party Area, where 12 players can play together simultaneously.
Each planet that the player visits can bring an encounter with different characters and enemies. The game prides itself on its easy control system, strategic battle system, and customizable actions.
During gameplay, players will be able to customize their own character with various costumes, hairstyles, accessories, height, and body shape. There is a lot to look forward to for players who wish to create their own unique character.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is a free-to-play title for players on Xbox One. There is no limitation on the game such as a level cap or direct purchase of high-tier weapons.
Phantasy Star Online 2 will launch on Xbox One and Windows PC in 2020.
