Perfect World Games has shared a new trailer for the upcoming mobile game Persona 5: The Phantom X, with a tweet and video description in English. Of course, the trailer itself has not been localized.
The new trailer’s description states the following:
“This time, we have brought a brand new story and stage to all the players, and sincerely invite you to experience brand new adventures and fetters. In the fierce collision between reality and metaverse, are you ready to awaken the power to control your own hearts?
Person 5: The Phantom X CBT2 Awakening Test scheduled for August 8th! Qualifications for testing are currently being recruited. The journey is about to begin, come join us!”
More information can be viewed via the game’s official website.
Persona 5: The Phantom X is being developed by Perfect World Games, the same developers behind Tower of Fantasy. There is no word on a global or even a Japanese release for this title, but considering the scale of the Persona series in recent years, we’ll likely see it appear overseas at some point; it’s just a matter of when. The title features brand-new characters, though it seems familiar faces will return. Plus, the new characters also have Phantom Thief attire, so the roots of Persona 5 have been retained.
