Persona 5 the Animation Complete Blu-ray Set Revealed, it’s $400
Aniplex of America revealed that they will publish the Blu-Ray set release of Persona 5 the Animation, with a planned release date on September 29, 2020.
Persona 5 fans can own all 26 episodes across six Blu-ray discs. Additionally, the set includes two extended episodes, “Dark Sun…” and “Stars and Ours.” This release also includes the release of the English dub, which reunites the cast from the video game along with an illustration card set, commercials, trailers, and textless versions of the show’s iconic opening and ending themes.
While that sounds like a really cool release, the publisher announced that the suggested retail price is set at $398.98. However, if you pre-order now, the price is $298.98, which isn’t the most significant difference, but every little bit off counts.
Persona 5 the Animation tells the story of Ren Amamiya, who is about to enter his second year of high school after transferring to Shujin Academy in Tokyo. However, things become a bit supernatural as a Persona awakens from within him, which unlocks some special powers. Together with his group of friends, the team form the “Phantom Thieves of Hearts” and put a stop to the wrongdoings of individuals around the city.
The animation is based on the video game with a few liberties made in the story due to some elements being tied to player choice.
