Persona 5 Strikers Sells 2 Million Units Worldwide

Atlus has announced that Persona 5 Strikers has sold over two million units worldwide. Atlus producer Daisuke Kaneda shared a brief message thanking fans for their continued support of the title.

Kaneda’s message has been translated below via our team’s Ryuji:

“Persona 5 Strikers was released on February 20, 2020 [in Japan]. We said at the time that it was rare to have so many 2s, but thanks to all of you, we are now welcoming a new 2. [The game] has sold more than 2 million units worldwide. We could not be happier about the “2” than we are today, thanks to the support of so many people. Thank you very much.

Even recently, I have been watching [Persona 5 Strikers] playthrough videos, and every time, I see so many people enjoying the game while laughing or being moved by the game. I feel so happy that we were able to create this. The passion and technology of everyone at Koei Tecmo Games, Inc. and Omega Force, and the hard work of the ATLUS members who worked together with us, led to this result.

Now that Persona 5 Tactica is about to be released, Joker’s battle continues, but the staff involved and I will take pride in this result and continue to work hard.”

Persona 5 Strikers is a collaboration between Atlus and developer Omega Force. The game features RPG and Musou elements found in games like the Dynasty Warriors series. However, when it comes to Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, the teams focused heavily on the characters and world-building as players will be able to interact with the other members of the phantom thieves.

The gameplay is purely action-based with Persona staple elements such as fusion and customization, and all of the Phantom Thieves are playable. There is plenty of side content for players to enjoy as well, with multiple difficulty levels for various crowds.

Persona 5 Strikers is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Persona 5 Tactica will launch for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on November 17, 2023.

The gameplay in Persona 5 Tactica allows players to take a strategic position during battles. Characters can move around the field and take cover for added defense or take a chance to find an enemy’s weakness to deal extra damage. There are other ways to receive an additional hit that require you to defend and play strategically.
