Persona 5 Royal expands on the world of Persona 5 and introduces new characters, gameplay features, and new elements to the character’s personal lives. This includes new trials and tribulations that the group must fast, whether as students or as the Phantom Thieves. Additionally, Persona 5 Royal will unlock an all-new third semester at Shujin Academy that’s never been seen before.

Throughout the game, the students discover a world where people aren’t completely themselves and it’s up to the Phantom Thieves to put a stop to it. The game features turn-based combat as well as dungeon exploration all while having to manage the daily lives of these teens.
