Persona 5 Royal Opening Animation Shown Off Ahead of TGS

Atlus is back to steal your hearts ahead of the imminent Tokyo Game Show with a new trailer for Persona 5 Royal. This trailer shows off the upcoming game’s new animated opening. Filled with lots of color and movement, fittingly the song is titled ‘Colors Flying High’. It’s a real feast for the eyes.

Persona 5 Royal expands on the world of Persona  5 and introduces new characters, gameplay features, and new elements to the character’s personal lives. This includes new trials and tribulations that the group must pass, whether as students or as the Phantom Thieves. Additionally, Persona 5 Royal will unlock an all-new third semester at Shujin Academy that’s never been seen before.

Persona 5 tells the story of a group of high school students who will steal your heart. Throughout the game, the students discover a world where people aren’t completely themselves and it’s up to the Phantom Thieves to put a stop to it. The game features turn-based combat as well as dungeon exploration all while having to manage the daily lives of these teens.

Persona 5 Royal is due out in Japan this year on October 31st. The English release will arrive spring 2020. Autumn if you live in the southern hemisphere.
