Persona 5 Leaving PS Plus Collection May 2022; Make Sure To Redeem It

In Sony’s recent blog post detailing the PlayStation Plus arrivals for April 2022, a footnote states that Persona 5 will be leaving the PS Plus collection on May 11, 2022. However, those who have added the game to the library will continue to have access to it following the removal.

So, if you are a PlayStation 5 owner who utilizes their PlayStation Plus subscription, make sure to add this to your library, so you don’t miss out on a free game. This is certainly odd, but the optimistic part of me is thinking that it will maybe be replaced by Persona 5 Royal. Or perhaps it’s simply a contractual thing. Who knows, we’ll see.

Check out the blog post from PlayStation providing this statement.

In case you missed it, check out our review for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

This title takes place after the ending of the original Persona 4, featuring elements from Persona 4 Golden, such as the character Marie. This game is a 2D fighter developed by Arc System Works, most prominently known for Blazblue and the recently released Guilty Gear Strive.

This re-release includes all of the content contained in the original Ultimax release and the story of the first Arena game. Further, Japanese and English dual audio options are present. Also notable is that this release boasts rollback netcode on all platforms except for Nintendo Switch.
