Persona 3 Reload Producer Video Message Showcases Frost Family Theurgy Skill

Xbox Asia has shared a video message from the producer of Persona 3 Reload, Ryota Niitsuma, introducing fans to the new battle mechanic called Theurgy. Characters will have new gauges that, when full, allow them to use a powerful technique. Several battle actions fill the gauge.

Interestingly, the respective character’s personality determines the most efficient battle actions for charging their Theurgy gauge. The brief clip with Niitsuma showcases a Theurgy skill involving Black Frost and King Frost summoning a Jack Frost snowman that significantly damages foes. However, only the sequence itself is shown, with no menu navigation for further elucidation.

Persona 3 Reload is a remake that aims to capture and expand upon the original Persona 3 experience with enhanced gameplay, story, and characters. The protagonist finds himself attending Gekkoukan High School, where he quickly becomes acquainted with the Dark Hour and Tartarus. He then joins S.E.E.S, a group that seeks to end the supernatural conundrums with their Persona abilities.
