Persona 3 Reload Reveals Mitsuru, Fuuka & Akihiko Character Art + New Trailer

During Anime Expo 2023, Atlus revealed new information for the upcoming Persona 3 Reload; notably the character renders for Akihiko Sanada, Fuuka Yamagishi, and Mitsuru Kirijo.

Additionally, a new trailer for the title was revealed, highlighting gameplay and the aforementioned characters.

Atlus also confirmed that Persona 3 Reload will receive special teasers on “each official full moon.”

Persona Channel has revealed official character renders and screenshots, viewable via our galleries below. The profiles have been translated by our team’s Ryuji:

Mitsuru Character Art — Mitsuru Kirijo – (Japanese VA: Rie Tanaka) – Daughter of the president of one of the world’s largest corporations, the Kirijo Group. A third-year student at Gekkoukan High School and its student council president. She is also the head of S.E.E.S. A serious, honor student who likes discipline and is active in many fields. On the other hand, perhaps due to her upbringing, she is a bit out of touch with the world and sometimes surprises people with her outlandish words and actions. She is also the head of the fencing club and uses a one-handed sword in battle. Her Persona is Penthesilea. She excels at Ice-type and Recovery-type skills.

Akihiko Character Art — Akihiko Sanada – (Japanese VA: Hikaru Midorikawa) – A third-year student at Gekkoukan High School and a founding member of S.E.E.S. He is the boxing club’s captain and a man of literary and combative prowess. He has a stoic personality but is also stubborn and inflexible and has a lot of fans at school. He was injured in a fight with Shadow and spent some time recuperating, but is now back on the front lines. He excels at physical attack and Electric-type skills, utilizing his boxing skills to his advantage, fighting with his fists in battle. His Persona is Polydeuces.

Fuuka Character Art — Fuuka Yamagishi – (Japanese VA: Mamiko Noto) – A second-year student at Gekkoukan High School, just like the protagonist. She is calm and reserved but is sometimes the target of bullying because of her weak temperament. She was trapped in the Dark Hour but was rescued by the main character and others, awakening her Persona ability. She was later recruited to join S.E.E.S. and excels at information gathering and analysis, thanks to Lucia, her Persona, and supports the group with her navigation and support skills, rather than directly participating in the front lines.

Persona 3 Reload is a remake of Persona 3 made in Unreal Engine. The game is confirmed to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows in early 2024. It will also be playable for Game Pass subscribers on launch.

Persona 3 was initially a PlayStation 2 title that birthed the concept of Social Links that would follow in Persona 4 and Persona 5. Then, a director’s cut version named F.E.S. launched later, featuring a new playable epilogue called The Answer and added enhanced gameplay features.

Years later, Persona 3 Portable was released for the PSP, which removed The Answer and the ability to walk around town but added the option to play as a female protagonist and new post-game challenges.

Persona 3 Portable is now available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and P.C.
